Today is Palm Sunday and the first day of spring. I welcomed the day with joy! Yellow daffodils are in full bloom in my front garden and the doves are again cooing on our porch roof. It is hard not to smile when you see sunshine and spring flowers. They don’t usually last very long but while they are here it is beautiful and fragrant. I love the hyacinths because they smell heavenly but the daffodils are bright and cheerful.
Song of Songs 2:11-12 “See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.”

Psalm 104:12 “The birds of the air nest by the waters; they sing among the branches.”
Job 12:7-10 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”
So, as you wake up tomorrow morning (even though it is Monday and for most it means back to work), let the beauty of creation speak to you of God’s goodness and join in the praise! I assure you that it will create a cheerful attitude. Happy spring!
